A Community interest company

Not for profit

This is a legal commitment.

When we registered our company, we committed to being a Community Interest Company limited by guarantee.

Crucially: Our members can never make a personal profit.

  • A Community Interest Company (CIC) is a company formed on the commitment that its activities will benefit a wider community.

We also legally promised that our assets (i.e., the money we raise) will only be used to benefit the community.

  • When we registered as a CIC, we made the following declaration:

“The company’s activities will provide benefit to any persons in the United Kingdom who have obtained the age of consent as set out by law in the United Kingdom.”

Therefore, if you have obtained the age of consent, we carry out our mission for you.

  • A company limited by guarantee does not take on private investors. We do not and cannot pay our members personal profit from the company.

The only remuneration received by our members is to reimburse them for the physical work that they have performed for the company. It must be proportionate and it is regulated.
